Error: Windows was not properly shut down...(due to improper shutdown).
Error:
Windows was not properly shut down. One or more of your disk drives may have errors on it. Press any key to run ScanDisk on these drives.
Cause:
The computer was not shut down properly.
Solution:
Run 'ScanDisk' on the computer and shut down the computer properly.
Do one of the following:
1) Run ScanDisk from DOS:
a) At the DOS prompt, type 'SCANDISK' and press ENTER.
2) Run ScanDisk from Windows:
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Programs' and select 'Accessories'.
c) Select 'System Tools' and select 'ScanDisk'. (The 'ScanDisk' dialog box appears.)
d) Select the drive to be examined for errors from the 'Select the drive(s) you want to check for errors' list box.

e) Do one of the following in the 'Type of test' group:

1] Select the 'Standard' radio button to scan all folders and files for errors.
2] Select the 'Thorough' radio button to scan the entire drive for errors, as well as scanning all folders and files.
f) If necessary, select the 'Automatically fix errors' check box.

g) Click 'Start'.

2) When 'ScanDisk' is finished, click 'Close'.
3) Shut down the computer.
